Uzbekistan is located in Central Asian just beneath the Aral Sea. The country shares borders with all the other Central Asian states including Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. There is also a limited border with Afghanistan. The time zone in Uzbekistan is called Uzbekistan Time or UZT. This is five hours ahead of Coordinated Universal Time. The country does not recognise Daylight Saving Time.
