China is located in Asia and it's capital city of Beijing. Since 1949 China has had one standard time zone which is GMT+8. On the Chinese mainland the time zone is known as Beijing Time but each of the former kingdoms (such as Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) make reference to their time zones under their own names, e.g, Macau Standard Time or Hong Kong Time. GMT+6 is also unofficially used in Tibet and Xinjiang.
